Siswa TNI Sebagai Pembicara Dalam The 7th International Defense Forum of NDU, PLA, China
CHINA, CARIBERITA – Pendidikan militer merupakan bagian yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam Diplomasi Pertahanan Republik Indonesia dan People’s Republic of China. Salah satu bentuk kerjasama pendidikan militer kedua negara adalah Defense and Strategic Studies Course (DSSC), yaitu pendidikan setingkat Lemhanas.
Setelah tiga tahun terhenti karena pandemi Covid-19, kini International College of Defense Studies (ICDS), NDU, PLA, China, kembali membuka pendidikan DSSC Angkatan ke 46 tahun 2023-2024, yang diikuti oleh 87 siswa dari 48 negara.
The 7th International Defense Forum tahun 2024 diselenggarakan di ICDS pada tanggal 20 s.d. 21 Juni 2024, dengan tema “From the Five Principes of Peaceful Coexistence (FPPC) to the Global Security Initiative (GSI): Common, Comprehensive, Cooperative, and Sustainable Security.
Opening Ceremony dipimpin oleh Deputy Commandant of ICDS, dilanjutkan dengan Plenary Session Exchanges, dimana para pembicara secara bergantian menyampaikan paparannya. Para pembicara terdiri dari Dosen dan beberapa siswa ICDS yang dipilih berdasarkan seleksi reseach paper sesuai tema forum.
Kolonel Arm Robertus Subono, S.I.P., M.Sc, merupakan salah satu siswa ICDS yang terpilih sebagai salah satu pembicara dengan judul research paper “China’s Global Security Initiative: For Peace and Stability in the Southeast Asia Region.
Membahas tentang sejarah GSI, apa implikasi GSI bagi ASEAN, dan apakah GSI mempunyai peran penting dalam memelihara perdamaian dan stabilitas di kawasan Asia Tenggara, khususnya dalam menyikapi dinamika dan perkembangan sengketa wilayah di Laut China Selatan. Kegiatan forum diakhiri dengan Closing Ceremony dipimpin oleh Deputy Commandant of ICDS.
